The HP ProLiant ML310 G4 Storage Server is an entry-level tower-based networked attached storage (NAS) solution that is both rapid to deploy and easy to use. Providing networked storage and support for multi-protocol file sharing and print serving which is ideal for a small workgroup, small business or a remote office.

The hardware is preconfigured and the Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 Release 2 operating system is preinstalled allowing deployment in minutes. The operating system also includes storage specific management tools for ease-of-use.

In a small user environment, the ML310 G4 Storage Server acts as a file server hosting local user files and as a local print server. With the optional Microsoft® iSCSI Software Target, the ML310 G4 Storage Server can also host block based storage for Exchange, SQL, and other block based storage applications.

The ML310 G4 Storage Server offers customers quick restore functionality via DVD and dual-operating system (OS) partitions. In the event the server needs to be restored, a System Recovery DVD allows you to be up and running with a factory default image in minutes.
